The MEDICAL REGISTER of AUSTRALIA was the first, easy to use, national compendium of Medical Specialists and other Medical Professionals arranged in specialty and geographic order.

This concept, quite simply had not been done before.

The MEDICAL REGISTER was established in 1989 and over the past 21 years has grown to contain thousands of entries detailing the clinical details of those specialists and allied health professionals who wish to be included. There is a fee to be listed on the site.

The site contains many of Australia's most eminent medical practitioners.

Previously The  MEDICAL REGISTER YEAR-BOOK was provided to referring General Practitioners in journal form. With the general public making more informed decisions regarding their health options and General Practitioners requesting a more efficient method of searching for an appropriate specialist for whom to refer their patient The MEDICAL REGISTER progressed from publishing the YEAR-BOOK and now provides the service online. The site is visited by the medical professions and the general public at no charge.

The MEDICAL REGISTER of AUSTRALIA also provides allied health training programs utilising University and Hospital Venues.
